Welcome to the Jewish Community at Temple!

Hillel at Temple University is comprised of the different Jewish student networks on campus who have varied and diverse interests in Jewish life. On any given day, students belonging to these networks may hold meetings, organize programs or work with staff consultants to plan the direction for the future of Jewish students on campus. Some of the Jewish networks already flourishing on campus include, JOB (Jewish Organization of Business), QJew (GLBTQ), Koach (Conservative Movement), Kesher (Reform Movement), JLife, TSI (Temple Students for Israel), and JIGL (Jews in Greek Life). At Hillel at Temple students are encouraged to author their own unique Jewish identity and embrace their love of Judaism. Staff work diligently with students to encourage them to try new ideas, to reach new student cohorts and to explore all components of Jewish Life at Temple.

Making A Difference

My name is Shai Israel and I'm the Israel fellow here at Temple Hillel. At the end of May I was on my way back to Israel with a Birthright trip, planning to spend my summer back at home with friends and family, traveling around or going to the beach. The first few weeks were great! A lot of Israel sun, Shabbat dinners with my family, going out with friends and just getting the warm feeling of being in Israel. But then soon everything changed and before I knew it, Israel was under attack.
