Why is Hillel now charging for shabbat Meals?
In order to integrate with the University dining program we have contracted with Sodexo to provide shabbat dinners. This is the first phase of what will become a full scale Kosher dining operation at the Rosen Center.
How much do meals cost?
$8 or one meal from your meal plan.
Do I need to register in advance?
While it is not necessary, it does help ensure we know how much food to prepare for each week.
Do I need to pay in advance?
Because of the Jewish laws regarding shabbat we are not permitted to accept cash on Friday nights. Therefore, please download the form above and fill it out, and bring it to The Rosen Center. Alternatively, you can fax it to 215-777-9790, e-mail a filled out version to jferst@templehillel.com or mail it to us at:

When will my card be charged?
Sodexo will be charging credit cards, debiting diamond dollars and removing meals over the weekend following the dinner.
Are meals transferable?
No.
Are meals refundable?
No. If your card is on file with Sodexo and you do not attend you will not be charged. If you paid in cash we unfortunately can not offer you a refund.
Can I pay online?
For security purposes we are unable to do this.
