Introducing Tzedek Philly

Welcome Back! Welcome to Tzedek Philly!
Tzedek Philly is a new initiative from Hillel focusing on service learning and social justice. Through Tzedek Philly college students from across Greater Philadelphia will be able to come together to repair the world, serve our communities, and deepen our relationships with Judaism and the Jewish people.

Tzedek Philly is made up of four signature program areas:

Alternative Spring Breaks: Use your break to repair the world! Check out what Hillel is offering on your campus.

Mitzvah Mania: Tzedek Philly is coordinating Jewish students from across greater Philadelphia to participate in this exciting day of service. Stay tuned for details.

The Tzedek Philly Fellowship @ Temple University: Want to make an ongoing commitment to community service and social justice? Want to learn more about Judaism and social justice? Looking for a place to share learning and experiences from your work in the community? Then the Tzedek Philly Fellowship is for you! Learn more about how making the commitment to become a Tzedek Philly Fellow could earn you $100 towards an alternative spring break.

Support for Campus-based Tzedek Programs: Interested in starting a new social justice project on your campus or in your community? Want to add a service-learning component to an existing program? Need advice about how to organize or maintain an on-going project! Tzedek Philly has funding, resources, and staff assistance available. Contact Isabel de Koninck, Tzedek Philly Project Director, at idekoninck@phillyhillel.org for more information.

Stay tuned for updates from the Tzedek Philly Blog to learn about on-going programs on your campus, and to hear from students around Philadelphia as they navigate the difficult and rewarding work of repairing the world!
